AI Accuracy and Limitations
Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative artificial intelligence generally are rapidly evolving, and LLMs are not truth machines. Given the probabilistic nature of machine learning, use of our Service may result in Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places, or facts. These models, including those accessible through Secret Chat, are powerful tools but have inherent limitations:
- AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information. This includes factual errors, outdated data, and fabricated citations or sources (commonly known as "hallucinations").

Restrictions on Use of Output
You must not use any Output relating to a person for any purpose that could have a legal or material impact on that person, such as making credit, educational, employment, housing, insurance, legal, medical, or other important decisions about them.
You should always evaluate Output for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review, before using or sharing Output from the Service.
Third-Party AI Model Providers
Secret Chat serves as a secure gateway to third-party AI models operated by independent providers, including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and others.
- We do not control the behavior, accuracy, or availability of these models. Each provider operates under its own terms of service, usage policies, and content guidelines.
- Model responses are generated by third-party systems. While we enforce zero data retention policies through our API integrations and provide Session Privacy Reports as proof, the underlying model behavior is determined by the respective provider.
- Service availability and model performance may vary. Providers may experience downtime, rate limits, or temporary unavailability. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party services.
- Third Party Services and Third Party Output are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
The Output from the Service is generated using open-source and proprietary Large Language Models, which may have been developed and published by individual companies or communities of developers and researchers. Secret Chat does not control, direct, or endorse the content generated by these models, and is not responsible for their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. Secret Chat is merely a conduit for access to these models, and the content generated by them is the sole responsibility of the model developers and the users who interact with them.

User Responsibility for Generated Content
You are solely responsible for:
- Reviewing and validating all AI-generated content before using it in any professional, legal, financial, medical, or public setting.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations when using AI-generated content, including but not limited to copyright law, defamation law, privacy regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Determining the appropriateness of content for your intended audience and use case.
- Any potential copyright considerations within your created content, including ensuring that the content does not infringe on the copyrights of others when sharing Output publicly.
Secret Chat uses third-party models and does not own or create these models. Therefore, Secret Chat is not responsible for any copyright oversight or issues that may arise from the use of these models.
Secret Chat does not monitor, review, or endorse user-generated prompts or AI-generated responses. We are not responsible for how you choose to use the content created through our platform.
Content Ownership and Similarity
As between you and Secret Chat, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you (a) retain your ownership rights in your Input and (b) own your Output. We hereby assign to you all our right, title, and interest, if any, in and to Output.
Due to the nature of our Service and artificial intelligence generally, Output may not be unique and other users may receive similar Output from our Service. Our assignment of rights to you does not extend to other users' Output or any Third Party Output.
No Guarantee of Privacy from Third Parties
While Secret Chat is designed to maximize your privacy through local storage, anonymous access, and zero data retention policies:
- We cannot control actions taken by third-party AI providers beyond the contractual commitments outlined in our Session Privacy Reports.
- You are responsible for securing your device and browser. If your device is compromised, locally stored data may be accessible to unauthorized parties.
- Network-level monitoring by ISPs, employers, or governments may be able to observe that you are accessing AI services, even if they cannot see the content of your conversations.
For maximum security when handling highly sensitive information, consider using additional privacy tools such as a VPN and ensuring your device is properly secured.
No Warranty; Service Provided "As-Is"
Secret Chat is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, title, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
- Warranties arising out of any course of dealing or trading usage.
- Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content.
- Warranties that any content will be secure or not lost or altered.
Use of this service is at your own risk. We do not guarantee that the platform will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.
Limitation of Liability
Provided that we have acted with professional diligence, we do not take responsibility for loss or damage caused by us, unless it is caused by our breach of our Terms of Service or reasonably foreseeable at the time of entering into those Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Secret Chat, its operators, affiliates, partners, suppliers, licensors, and distributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, revenue, data, or other losses, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the service.
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content.
- Reliance on information provided by AI models.
- Unauthorized access to or loss of your locally stored data.
- Any actions taken by third-party AI model providers.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, including negligence, breach of contract, or strict liability, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims related to the Service exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Opossum DOO (Montenegro)'s affiliates, suppliers, licensors, and distributors are intended third-party beneficiaries of this section.
