Hi, my name is George Shubin. I'm the person behind Secret Chat.
When most websites say "we", they mean a team, an office, and a few rounds of funding. When I say "we", I mean me and this product. That's the whole company. I'm not going to pretend otherwise — and as you'll see below, for a privacy product that's not a weakness. It's the strongest guarantee I can offer you.
Why I built Secret Chat
Secret Chat started with my own frustrations as a ChatGPT user:
- I paid $20 a month and never felt I actually used $20 worth. Some months I chatted a lot, some months barely at all — the subscription didn't care. At Secret Chat there is no forced monthly fee: you can simply pay for what you use, and optional subscriptions exist only as a discount for people who want one.
- Subscribing to every AI I wanted was too expensive. ChatGPT, then Claude, then something else — each with its own monthly bill. I had to choose. At Secret Chat one balance gives you ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and image models in a single interface.
- ChatGPT remembered my queries, and I didn't like that. The memory feature is convenient for some people; for me it was a lack of privacy. At Secret Chat every conversation starts from scratch, anonymously.
Who I am
I'm a web developer with more than 10 years of experience, working with PHP, JavaScript and TypeScript. I specialize in commercial development — which is exactly why I can't show you a GitHub portfolio: all my projects there are private, built for businesses under NDA. I love privacy, you know.
But trust needs something verifiable, so here is my LinkedIn profile (Egor is the original spelling of my name — George is its English equivalent).
Secret Chat is my attempt to work as a true creator: to build a product I genuinely believe in and enjoy every day of working on. When I really like something, I can work on it without rest, even on weekends — though I do understand rest is necessary, of course.
Why one person is good news for your privacy
It might seem risky to trust a one-person product with your private conversations. I'd argue the opposite — think about what usually creates privacy problems in tech:
- I have no investors. Nobody is pushing me to "monetize the data" or grow at any cost. What I sell is your privacy and anonymity — not your data. If I betrayed that, I'd have no product left to sell.
- I have no data warehouse — and I like it that way. Storing everyone's full conversation histories (especially with images) requires large, expensive data servers. I cannot pay for them, and more importantly, I don't want to. Everything you see in the Secret Chat interface is stored locally on your device, not on my servers.
- There is no sales or analytics department. Nobody here builds advertising profiles, because there is nobody here but me — and I'm busy writing code.
My smallness guarantees your privacy.

The boring but honest details
Secret Chat is a secure gateway. I don't create a profile of you, no chat is associated with you, your queries reach the top LLMs anonymously, and they are never used for training. The answers come back to your device, where they stay. The full technical picture is in the Privacy Policy, and the legal entity behind the service is listed on the Company Details page. Card and crypto payments are handled by established payment providers — I never see or store your payment details.
