AI resume builder from your actual experience
In the app, open the model list at the top of the chat. Find the Generators group after Image and choose Resume. A new chat opens with a welcome message that contains the settings. The sliders button beside the message box opens the same controls, and your browser remembers them for the next resume request.
Give the resume writer the material it needs: roles, dates, responsibilities, education, skills and relevant results in your own words. You can paste them, attach an old DOCX or PDF resume, and include the job description in the request. Other supported documents such as TXT, Markdown, CSV or XLSX can also serve as source material.
Resume generator that leaves missing facts blank
Contacts, employers, dates, figures and degrees are never made up. If a required fact is absent, the CV maker inserts [___] and lists the item under missing fields. You fill it in after download or make another request with the missing detail.
This is deliberate. An invented sales figure or qualification can damage an application, even when the sentence around it sounds polished. The generator can organize what you have said and connect relevant experience to the role. It cannot supply a career history you did not give it.
Resume, CV, cover letter or both
The Deliverable setting offers Resume / CV, Cover letter, or Resume + cover letter. Choose one document for a focused request, or both when the application needs matching materials. The AI cover letter draws from the same facts as the resume and addresses the role described in the posting.
A cover letter generator can shape an opening, select relevant experience and close with a direct expression of interest. It still needs your evidence. If the posting asks for leadership and you have not described any, the letter will not quietly invent a team, project or result.
Make a resume from a job description
To make a resume from a job description, attach or paste the posting beside your experience. The model can decide which supplied duties and skills deserve space for that application. A pasted or attached source is structured as provided. It is not replaced with material found elsewhere.
Research on the web has its own switch. Off means the model decides whether a lookup is needed; on means it always researches, and that lookup costs extra. Web research does not authorize the model to invent personal facts. Review the finished application against both your history and the original posting.
Chronological, skills-first and academic CV formats
Format can be By the material, Chronological, Skills first or Academic CV. Chronological fits a clear work history. Skills first can suit a career change or gaps because it leads with capabilities supported by the supplied experience. Academic CV keeps the longer record expected for academic work.
Length can also follow the material, or target one or two pages. A one-page setting forces harder choices about relevance; two pages leave room for more roles and evidence. “By the material” lets the model judge from what you supplied instead of padding a thin history to fill a page.
Country conventions and language
Conventions can follow the job's country or be set to US, UK, EU or Russia. The setting changes ordinary document habits. For example, a US resume does not add a photo, age or marital status, while EU practices differ. It does not verify eligibility or decide which local rule applies to you.
Choose Professional, Confident or Plain tone. Language follows the request unless you select another of 80 languages. If you already have a finished application and only need another language, the translator has translation-specific controls. For a careful wording pass, use the rewriter and paraphraser.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok resume writer
Resume offers four model families: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok. Each family's Smart router chooses the tier for the work; Claude runs on Claude Sonnet in this generator. The result format stays the same whichever family you choose.
You can also start in a regular chat. In Smart Agentic mode, ask one of those model families to “write me a resume for this job.” It builds the same result in the conversation. An Edit in Resume button under the card opens the generator with the settings used for that result.
DOCX, Markdown and PDF resume downloads
The result card opens in a side-pane viewer on desktop. Download DOCX for editing, Markdown for a plain-text copy, or PDF through the print workflow. A resume is treated as a finished artifact, so PDF is available here even though the general Document generator reserves its templates for further editing.
All files are built in the browser. The card is also collected under Resumes in the Library. It does not provide an ATS score, keyword score or interview guarantee; read every line, complete each blank and decide whether the document represents you accurately.
What it costs
The resume generator runs on paid models and uses credits. Web research costs extra and is marked paid in the settings; the exact charge appears under the answer. See the pricing page for packs and subscriptions.
Privacy, stated honestly
We store nothing on our side: there is no archive of chats or files, and the task row exists only while the answer is produced. There is no personal profile, no chat is associated with you, and the request reaches the model provider as a stranger's; your email is used only for account access and payment. Your material is never used for training.
Secret Chat AI removes you from your queries — it does not remove the data from your messages. Anything you paste or attach is sent to the chosen provider verbatim, so leave out names and other identifiers yourself.
A resume is personal data by its nature, so this matters more here than on most pages. The generator does not need your name, phone number, address or exact employer names to structure the document: leave them out of the request and the blanks are where they go after download. What you do paste travels to the provider as it is.
