Private Agentic AI Models:
Smart Agentic, Kept Private

An agentic AI model doesn't just reply; it works out how to answer. Ask it something and it decides on its own whether to respond straight away, search the web, do deeper research, or create an image, then it does those steps and hands you the result. Secret Chat offers this as Smart Agentic mode for GPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek USA, and runs the whole thing privately. You get the convenience of an assistant that just handles it, without giving up your anonymity. For the simpler, you-choose-the-tool version, see private search; for the wider product, see our private AI chat page.

What "agentic" means for you

Normally you have to decide how to use an AI: should I ask it to search? Switch to a reasoning mode? Open an image tool? Agentic mode removes that guesswork. You write your message in plain language, and the AI picks the right approach for you: a fast answer for something simple, a web search when it needs current facts, deeper research for a hard question, or an image when that's what you asked for. It feels less like operating a tool and more like handing a task to a capable assistant.

What the experience feels like

  • One button, no menus. Leave it on Smart Agentic and just talk. The AI chooses whether to search, think harder, or draw; you don't have to know in advance.
  • It shows its work. While it's working you can see what it's doing ("searching the web", "creating an image"), so it never feels like a black box.
  • The right depth automatically. Quick questions get quick answers; complex ones get the slower, more thorough treatment, without you flipping settings.
  • Still yours to override. Prefer to drive? You can always pick a specific tool yourself (fast chat, web search, research, or image) whenever you want manual control.
  • The same routing, applied to a whole panel. The AI Council is the agentic idea at the next scale up: a router reads the question once and sizes the entire panel to it (including whether every model should search the web), and then two, three or four models from different companies answer in parallel and a referee compares them claim by claim. You still write plain language and choose nothing.

Not every model gets every tool

Smart Agentic can only choose between the things a given model can actually do, and that differs by model. GPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok get the full set: a quick answer, a web search, deeper research, and (for most of them) an image. DeepSeek USA, which is free for everyone and the default model, is deliberately narrower: its router makes exactly one decision (how much thinking your question needs), and picks between Flash (a direct answer), and Pro (step-by-step reasoning). It has no web search, generates no images, and reads text only, so nothing can be attached to it. That's a property of the model rather than a setting we could switch on: DeepSeek V4 has no native search tool, and the generic plugin substitute searches only your last message with no conversation context, which breaks every follow-up question. When you need search or vision, one of the other models is a tap away in the same conversation.

Agentic doesn't mean exposed

A model that takes several steps could, in the wrong setup, mean several chances to leak who you are. Secret Chat is built so that every step the AI takes (the quick decision, the web search, the image) gets the same privacy as a single message:

  • Your identity stays hidden. Secret Chat makes the requests on your behalf, so the AI providers see Secret Chat, not your name, email, or IP — at every step.
  • Everything stays in your browser. The whole conversation, including the in-between results the AI produces along the way, lives on your device, not on our servers. Learn how this works in our guide to local browser storage for AI chats.
  • Email-only sign-up. No real name, no phone number, no profile-building: the email is used only for account access and payment, never to associate your chats with you.
  • A privacy report that covers every step. The per-session report is transparent about the multi-step nature: it lists the decision, the answer, and any image as separate actions, each with confirmation of how it was handled and, where supported, that a deletion request was sent.

Who it's for

People who want results, not controls. If you'd rather describe what you need and let the AI sort out the best way to get there (but you're not willing to trade away your privacy to do it) agentic mode is the easiest way to work. It's especially handy for mixed tasks: a question that turns into a search that turns into a summary, all in one flow.

The honest limit

Smart Agentic decides how to handle your request, but it still has to send your words to the AI to do the work. As with any AI, don't paste personal or confidential data you wouldn't want leaving your device, and a quick check before you send is always wise.

One agentic assistant, many models

Smart Agentic gives you GPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek USA behind a single mode that decides when to talk, search, research, or draw (within whatever each model can do) all under the same email-only account and the same local storage. When you'd rather steer the tools yourself, private search and the manual research and image tools are one tap away. See the private AI models comparison for how each provider handles retention and deletion.

The AI Council applies the same idea to several models at once: one question goes to a whole panel in parallel, a router first sizes the question to decide how strong a panel to run (and whether it needs live web search), and a referee then compares the answers claim by claim, so you see where independent providers disagree. The tier is chosen once for the whole panel rather than per model, which is the one place this routing differs from the single-model version: a council is only worth reading when its members are comparable, so if one model had searched and another had not, their disagreement would be telling you about the panel instead of about your question. A two-model Duet is free within the daily quota.

The honest limit applies here too, and it's worth stating twice: when the panel agrees, that's evidence, not proof — models share training data and can be wrong together. And a council sends your question to every model on the panel, so it widens where your words travel in exchange for the cross-check.
