You will be looking at this app for hours at a time, so it lets you decide how it looks: light or dark, and which accent color runs through it. This is one of the features of Secret Chat AI, the AI aggregator.
Light and dark mode
By default the app simply follows your system. If your phone or laptop switches to dark at sunset, so does the chat — you do not have to configure anything, and you do not get a blinding white screen at night because an app forgot to ask.
The moment you click the theme toggle yourself, that becomes your choice and the app stops following the system. It is remembered permanently in that browser, so it survives reloads, new tabs and reopening the installed app — a deliberate decision, because a theme that quietly reset itself every time you opened a new tab reads as a bug rather than a feature.
Accent colors
Settings → Change primary color opens a palette of 18 colors — emerald, green, lime, red, orange, amber, yellow, teal, cyan, sky, blue, indigo, violet, purple, fuchsia, pink, rose and stone. Picking one restyles the whole interface, not just a button: buttons, links, highlights and controls all follow it, in both light and dark mode.
It is worth more than decoration if you keep the app open next to your other work — a distinct accent makes the right window recognisable at a glance, and if you run two browsers or two profiles, giving each its own color tells you instantly which one you are typing into.
Where these settings live
Both are stored in the browser you set them in, like everything else about your setup here. So they do not follow you to another device, and clearing your browser data returns the app to following your system with its default color. Nothing about your appearance settings is sent to us or attached to your account — there is no profile of you for them to attach to.
