How the AI document generator works
- Open the app and use the model picker at the top of the chat.
- Find Generators, just after Image, then choose Document. A new Document chat opens on Gemini.
- Set the document type, jurisdiction and strict or neutral style. Web wording checks are available as a paid option.
- Describe the document or attach an existing file, then type the request or press Generate.
- Read the template and its Fill in list. Download DOCX or Markdown and complete the blanks in Word.
The browser remembers Document settings. Results appear as cards in the chat and under Documents in the Library; the desktop side viewer can open them without hiding the conversation.
Contract generator
Choose a services contract, contract for work, supply agreement, lease, real-estate sale, employment contract or loan. The Jurisdiction setting can follow the request or use RU, US, UK or another jurisdiction. It guides wording conventions; it does not establish that the contract is valid there.
A generated contract is a working template. It is not legal advice; have a professional check it before anyone relies on it. The strict and neutral styles change how the clauses are written, while Check wording on the web can verify current phrasing as a paid step.
NDA and agreement templates
The document type list includes an NDA, an addendum and a power of attorney. State the purpose, the obligations you actually intend and any terms already agreed. Unknown parties, dates and details remain visible blanks rather than guessed facts.
You can also ask for an act of acceptance or select any when the named types do not fit. As with every contract template, a professional should check the completed document.
Letters, applications and claims
Use the AI letter writer for an official letter, application, pre-trial claim, reference or memo. Give it the facts, the recipient's role and the outcome you are asking for. The resulting AI letter keeps missing names and addresses as blanks.
For a pre-trial claim, the generator can organize the chronology and requested remedy, but it cannot decide your legal position for you. Review every statement and have a professional check the document when legal rights are involved.
Meeting minutes and reports
Paste rough notes and ask for a meeting minutes template with attendees, agenda items, decisions and assigned actions. It turns untidy notes into a consistent record, or drafts the minutes template before the meeting. A report can be requested under the general document type when no preset matches it.
The useful distinction is between the record and the facts. The generator can structure the notes, but it cannot recover a decision that was never written down. Mark uncertain points in the request so the draft does not present them as settled.
Proposals, invoices and receipts
Commercial proposals, invoices and receipts each have their own document type. Describe the work or transaction and leave sensitive account details out; the template reserves space for them. Add the actual payment and tax information later in Word.
Resume and cover letter
The same tool drafts a resume, a CV or a cover letter. Provide the experience, skills and role you want represented, and it will organize the document without inventing qualifications. The blanks are for personal details such as your name and contact information, which you add after download.
Why the blanks are on purpose
There is deliberately no form for parties and details. The app never asks you to enter tax IDs, bank details or addresses. Anything required but absent is shown as [___], and a Fill in list tells you what remains.
This makes the omission obvious when you open the contract template in Word. It also prevents the model from quietly inventing a party name, registration number or payment instruction.
DOCX, not PDF
The Document generator provides DOCX and Markdown. It does not produce PDF because a template is meant to be completed and reviewed, not sent as it stands. DOCX gives you an ordinary editable file for replacing blanks and revising clauses.
Edit a document you already have
Attach an existing PDF, DOCX, spreadsheet, image, Markdown file, code file or ZIP and say what should change. The generator structures the material you supplied; it does not look up a different document to replace it. Project files work the same way.
Ask for specific edits: shorten a clause, turn notes into meeting minutes, adapt a cover letter to a role, or add a section to a memo. The new file arrives as another card, so the original remains available in its source chat or project.
Which model writes the document
- Gemini — the family selected when a new Document chat opens.
- ChatGPT — available from the model rows.
- Claude — uses Claude Sonnet because the fast tier invented contract terms in testing.
- Grok — available from the model rows.
Each family routes the work according to its difficulty and uses its search tier when the paid web check is on. DeepSeek is not offered for generators.
What you can download
Download DOCX for editing in Word or another compatible editor, or Markdown for plain-text workflows. PDF is deliberately absent. The document card and Library entry keep both downloads available in the browser.
What the document generator costs
The Document generator uses credits on paid models. Checking wording on the web costs extra and is marked paid in the settings. The exact charge is printed under each answer; current packs and subscriptions are listed on the pricing page.
Privacy, stated honestly
- We store nothing on our side. There is no archive of chats or files on our servers. The task row exists only while the answer is produced.
- Your request is anonymous. There is no profile, and no chat is ever associated with you. The provider receives a stranger's request. Your email is used only for account access and payment.
- Your material is never used for training.
What you paste or attach is sent verbatim to the chosen model provider. Secret Chat AI removes you from your queries — it does not remove the data from your messages. Leave out names and identifiers the model does not need.
